Job description
Structural WelderWe are seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our fabrication team. This role is critical to our production schedule, particularly in the manufacturing of meter houses using steel siding/R-Panel construction. The ideal candidate is a skilled, self-sufficient welder and fabricator who can read prints, work independently, and troubleshoot issues as they arise on the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints/prints and accurately lay out all required specificationsCut, prep, and fit all materials required for assigned jobsWeld out fitted materials to complete finished assembliesMake real-time adjustments to fabrication processes as issues or discrepancies ariseWork with steel siding and R-Panel materials in the construction of meter housesMaintain quality and consistency across all welds and fabricated componentsCollaborate with team members and communicate effectively when problems come up in fabricationRequired QualificationsAbility to read and layout from prints/blueprints, translating specs accurately to materialMust be able to pass a 3G Plate Test (MIG/Flux Combo Weld on 3/4" plate, without run-off tabs)Proven ability to cut, prep, fit, and weld materials independently from start to finishStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and adapt during fabricationComfortable making adjustments on the fly to meet spec and quality requirementsPrior experience working with steel siding/R-Panel systemsExperience in meter house fabrication or similar structural/sheet metal production environmentsWillingness and initiative to learn and excel in R-Panel processes if not already experiencedNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
