Job description
Student Clinical Placements: Occupational Therapy/ Occupational Therapy Assistant
nAre you an OT or OTA student seeking meaningful, hands-on clinical experience? Arbor Therapy welcomes students enrolled in accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs for clinical placements at our outpatient clinics throughout the greater Phoenix area.
nStudents work alongside experienced therapists while developing their clinical knowledge, confidence, and professional skills in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.
nWhat You'll Gain at Arbor Therapy
nnHands-on experience in a private outpatient clinic setting
nGuidance and supervision from experienced, licensed occupational therapy professionals
nExposure to diverse client populations, diagnoses, and treatment needs
nExperience with evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming practices
nOpportunities to participate in evaluations, treatment planning, documentation, caregiver education, and intervention activities, as appropriate for the placement
nCollaboration with occupational, speech-language, physical, and feeding therapy professionals
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnCurrent enrollment in an accredited OT or OTA program
nCompletion of all educational and clinical prerequisites required by your program
nStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
nInterest in supporting diverse client needs
nWillingness to learn, accept feedback, and take initiative
nAbility to meet the scheduling and hour requirements of the assigned placement
n nPlacement Requirements
nBefore beginning a clinical placement, students must provide:
nnCurrent CPR certification
nValid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
nCurrent Article 9 certification
nAny additional documentation or training required by Arbor Therapy, the student's educational program, or applicable funding sources
