Position Title: Sports Athletic Marketing Assistant
Supervisor: Emily Steady
Hours Per Week: 7
Position Overview
The Student Athletic Marketing Assistant assists the department's marketing team in driving brand awareness, promoting athletic events, and engaging students and supporters through creative campaign execution and outreach strategies.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Develop and design engaging promotional content for print, social media, and digital channels for the athletic department.
Help plan, promote, and execute departmental and athletic events to maximize participation and engagement.
Working Conditions Event-Based & Fast-Paced: Work takes place in dynamic, noisy environments including arenas, stadiums, fields, and court-side media rows during live athletic contests.
Office & Remote Mix: Pre-game planning, graphic design, and content editing occur in standard office settings or flexible remote setups.
Required Qualifications Enrolled as a student with active Federal Work-Study eligibility.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Basic experience with social media management and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
