n nPrimary Responsibilities:
nResponsible for assisting in the implementation of the community-based mentoring program to provide best practices to identified students in support of their mental health and well-being in the local schools.
nEssential Job Duties:
nnnRecruit, develop, and train volunteer mentors for the Community-Based Mentoring program.
n
nnUtilize best practices for evaluating and matching volunteer mentors with identified students with a focus on students' mental health and well-being at the local schools.
n
nnPlan, develop, and implement effective mentoring practices for mentors, students, and parents.
n
nnUtilize technology to communicate to mentors, students, parents, and community organizations about the Community-Based Mentoring program.
n
nnAssist with the recruitment of community-based mentors and program development initiatives.
n
nnEstablish and maintain positive relationships with external organizations.
n
nnComplete special projects as needed by supervisor.
n
nnAssist with securing additional resources as needed.
n
nnProvide mentorship to students in small groups or one-on-one at identified schools.
n
nnCommunicate with parents and local school staff as needed.
n
nnProvide a monthly summary report for each school.
n
nnConduct interviews with applicants interested in becoming volunteer mentors.
n
nnKeep track of progress, including number of interviews conducted, declined, no response, etc.
n
nnUtilize database(s) to monitor applicants' progress through the various stages. Provide support to Assistant Directors for matching as needed.
n
nnAssist staff with planning and implementing program activities and events.
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned.
