Student Ministry Leader - Systems & Operations
The Student Ministry Leader - Systems & Operations partners with the Teaching Pastor in a split-leadership model to serve Fusion at the Lee's Summit Campus. This role focuses on building and maintaining operational systems, follow-up processes, budgets, and logistics for teens and volunteers, while collaborating closely with the Teaching Pastor—who owns primary teaching, relational shepherding, and spiritual care.
Together, they provide comprehensive leadership for Fusion, requiring weekly synergy meetings, clear role handoffs (e.g., teaching vision handoff to systems execution), and unified communication to ensure no teen goes unseen. This position holds primary oversight for recruiting, developing, and training Student Leaders and volunteers; VIP Experience logistics, Student Leadership Team deployment, Sunday Morning Team coordination, and all operational teams needed to execute Late Nights at Fusion.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Lead, plan, and execute a comprehensive follow-up system to ensure no invisible teens at Fusion (48-hour response for VIPs, salvation/next-step decisions, and two-week absences).
Oversee the development, recruitment, training, and deployment of the Student Leadership Team.
Assist the Teaching Pastor in the execution of on-site services on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings, focusing on operational coordination.
Handle all logistics of outreach efforts, including planning, training volunteers, and executing Late Nights, school lunch visits, and community connections (e.g., OneMission).
Oversee all outreach programs in Lee's Summit Student Ministry (Late Nights, OneMission, Student Leadership, VIP, etc.).
Manage all budgets pertaining to Student Leadership Team, Late Nights, VIP, Outreach, and Sunday programming.
Provide operational training/coaching to students, parents, and leaders within VIP Experience Leader, Student Leadership Team, Sunday Morning Team, and Late Nights execution teams (under Central Leadership direction).
Attend all Staff/Team meetings.
Other duties reasonably assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Leadership and communication skills are required. Success in this role will require a highly relational leader who can lead leaders and manage projects. This role will mandate a person who can think structurally in building/maintaining systems of outreach and growth. Training up leaders and then releasing ministry to them will be essential for success in this position.

Education/Experience
Requires two years of student ministry leadership experience.
