For 50+ years, UH Parma Medical Center has provided high-quality health care to the residents of Parma and surrounding communities and now offers a Level 3 trauma center. This 332-bed full-service community hospital employs 2,000 Northeast Ohio residents, including more than 500 physicians trained in more than 30 specialties. Description The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. The role is designed to build upon the experience gained in the classroom and during clinical rotations. Responsibilities include: Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints
Communication and documentation of interventions and observations
Participation in quality improvement process
Involved in learning and self-improvement
Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers
