This is a short-term, 12 month contract role.
This role is located on-site at one of our offices
This position is office-based, meaning regular in-person collaboration or use of office equipment is essential to maximize effectiveness for this team and/or position. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our New York office and should expect to be in office 5 days per week.
About the Role:
The Studio Coordinator is part of the global Workplace team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sonos' new creative studio and performance space in SoHo - a dynamic environment designed to host artists for live performances, listening sessions, film screenings, and other creative experiences.
This hands-on role manages studio and workplace operations, employee and guest experience, and space-related projects aligned with Sonos' broader global real estate strategy. As the primary Workplace contact for local teams, you'll help create a welcoming, productive, and well-run environment for employees, artists, and guests.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and people-focused, with a warm, proactive, and adaptable approach. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves, managing multiple priorities, and seeing projects through from start to finish while balancing the needs of the space, the business, and the people who use it.
Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position 5 days per week onsite in our New York City studio. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.
What You'll Do:
Space & Operations
Oversee day-to-day operations of both floors including the creative team workspace, conference room, kitchenette, and performance space
Manage vendor relationships, facilities maintenance, and supply inventory
Manage administrative and financial processes, including mail sorting and distribution, voicemails, employee support tickets, invoices, purchase requisitions, and expense reports
Serve as the on-site safety lead, supporting emergency preparedness and response, including building evacuations and coordination with building management and first responders
Manage shipping and receiving operations for domestic and international deliveries
Ensure the space always reflects the Sonos brand at the highest level
Team Support
Support the on-site Sonos team with workspace needs, conference room scheduling, meal ordering, and day-to-day office operations
Foster a studio culture that feels both productive and inspired
Technical Oversight
Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting all Sonos audio equipment throughout the space
Partner with remote IT/AV support to address issues with office conference rooms, meeting spaces, and employee equipment
Ensure sound systems are performance-ready at all times
Artist & Talent Relations
Help coordinate incoming artist performances and residencies - hospitality, technical setup, and post-visit follow-up
Assist the Sonos Radio Principle Curation Manager and the Global Events and Operation Manager as a point of contact for visiting talent and their teams
Assist in managing communications with artist managers, labels, and booking agents
Influencer & Brand Partnerships
Manage influencer visit logistics including product demos, content creation needs, and brand experience flow
Assist the creative production team with set-up for shoots or activations as needed
What You'll Need:
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience relevant to the role
Experience
2+ years experience in an office management, event production, or studio operations role
Experience working within a creative team - agency, in-house brand studio, design firm, photo/video production
Project management or production coordination background
Core skills
Project management - tracking timelines, deliverables, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects
Organization & multitasking - juggling schedules, resources, and competing priorities across a creative team
Communication - liaising between creatives, clients/stakeholders, vendors, and leadership
Visitor/vendor coordination - booking influencers, press, photographers, stylists, printers, contractors, etc.
Software proficiency - Google Creative Suite, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Google Docs especially, Adobe Creative tools, Figma
Studio-specific knowledge
Understanding of creative workflows (design, photo/video production, content creation)
Familiarity with production logistics - studio space booking, equipment/gear management, shoot scheduling
Soft skills
Problem-solving under tight deadlines
Calm, adaptable demeanor - studio environments are fast-paced and can shift last-minute
Strong interpersonal skills - often the connective tissue between creative directors, clients, and support staff
Discretion/professionalism, especially in studios working with high-profile clients or talent
Comfort with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment typical of NYC's creative/agency/fashion/media industries
May require flexibility for early morning or evening shoot schedules
Networking/vendor relationships within the NYC creative scene can be a plus (studio rental spaces, freelance talent pools, printers, etc.)

Physical & Workplace Experience: This is an on-site role requiring regular movement throughout the office and building. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.; assisting with the movement, setup, and repositioning of furniture, equipment, and workplace materials; accessing and navigating all areas of the workplace as necessary; and supporting established emergency preparedness, evacuation, and life-safety procedures for employees and visitors. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking and responding promptly to facilities, safety, or emergency situations throughout the workplace.

The base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:
$68,000 and $85,000 The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate's geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range. Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
