Job description
Bus MonitorQualifications: 1. Certificate of physical fitness to perform assigned duties and freedom from communicable disease, including tuberculosis, signed by a physician. 2. Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of assigned responsibilities. 3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Reports To: Transportation SupervisorJob Goal: To assist in providing safe transportation through supervision so that the students may take full advantage of the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.Physical And Performance Responsibilities1. Assist the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus 2. Insure that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion 3. Assist young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus 4. Assist the driver in completing conduct reports for students who have violated bus rules 5. Collect and turn in any personal items left on the bus by the students 6. Requirements for lift bus: Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling; moderate lifting and carrying.Terms Of Employment: Salary and work year as established in the Collective Bargaining AgreementEvaluation: Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel
