Job description
Cafeteria/Recess MonitorSubstitute for an absent Cafeteria/Recess Monitor. Monitor cafeteria: maintain orderliness and cleanliness of cafeteria throughout student lunch times including clearing of tables by removing trash to the appropriate container and/or wiping tabletops clean between lunch periods. Continuously walk throughout cafeteria while monitoring behavior of students as instructed by administrator; report infractions to administration.Education Training and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and verbal communication. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small student groups, parents, and other employees of the district. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Requires skill and persuasion in dealings with others both in and outside of the department. Interactions with others generally require influencing, instruction and negotiating with individuals to gain their understanding, cooperation, and action. Demonstrates and models personal productivity skills.Salary and Benefits: This position pays $16.50 per hour. This is a casual position and is not benefit eligible.
