The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non‑profit ministry that is dedicated to “Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ”. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically-integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals. Job Summary
This position serves as part of the clinic team that provides health and medical services during the school day to our students and staff.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Demonstrate behavior aligned with CVCA’s mission statement, statement of faith, core values, policies and expectations
Conducting screenings and writing referrals for health care services
Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities
Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings
Keep track of students’ vaccination records
Update students’ medical history
Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists
Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
The ability to relationally connect with students and other adult staff members

Ability to serve on a team to meet the needs of the student body

Requirements
Education and Experience
Degree in Nursing and a valid national certification.
Current and valid license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
Minimum of three years in nursing / medical experience
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in a conventional school environment
