Custodian SubstituteSubstitute custodians are employed as needed on a day-to-day call-in basis. Work is not guaranteed. The hourly compensation is $20; no benefits are associated with substitute employment.JOB TITLE: Custodian Substitute SALARY: $20 per HourDEPARTMENT: Maintenance Department REPORTS TO: Director of FacilitiesGeneral DutiesClean and sanitize washrooms and locker rooms including: sinks, commodes, and urinals hand dryers washroom stalls maintain soap and towel dispensersClean classrooms sweep floors mop floors as needed empty garbage and dispose properly wipe down student desks wipe down whiteboards empty pencil sharpenersMop and buff corridorsVacuum carpetsRemove gum and scuff marksClean up spills, vomit, and blood when neededScrub and wax floorsClean windows and glass in doorsDaily upkeep of groundsGrooming, sweeping, and upkeep of artificial turf fieldsPaintingVehicle upkeepOperate snow removal equipment including shovels, snow blowers, plowsAssist with setup and cleanup of areas for special programs or events, including athletic fieldsAttend safety meetings and training sessions as requiredOther duties as assigned by supervisorJob ExpectationsMaintain a positive and appropriate attitudeFamiliarity with equipment involved with custodial dutiesKnowledge of industry standardsPHYSICAL DEMANDS.
