Substitute CustodianClean and maintain buildings, to ensure all students, staff, and the community are provided a safe, attractive and clean, and healthy environment for learning and work.Essential duties and responsibilities include:A. ClassroomsEmpty wastebaskets and replace liners, as neededSpot clean desk tops and remove graffitiClean and sanitize counters and sinksDust mop all composite floorsSpot mop composite floors with all-purpose cleanerVacuum all carpetSpot clean carpet, as neededVacuum walk-off matsSecure any exterior doors and windows and turn off lights before leavingWeeklyDust horizontal surfaces to hand height (60") including desks, chairs, tablesSweep baseboards Damp clean window ledgesRemove fingerprints from doors, frames, light switches, handles and railingsSpot clean all glassVacuum chalk rails and/or damp wipeMop composite floorsMonthlyHigh dust above hand height (60") horizontal surfaces, including shelves, pipes, moldings, etc. (reachable by 6 ft. ladder)Dust blindsSemi-AnnuallyClean entire surface of student's desks and chairsClean carpet to remove all stains, spills and soiled spotsAnnuallyRefinish hallway floorsRefinish all floorsClean carpeting to remove all stains, spills and soiled spotsB.
