Substitute Custodian in Canton Public SchoolsWe are hiring substitute custodians. No previous experience is required! Remember that school district employee who made a difference in your life? Now it's your turn! Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day in a safe and clean environment. Substitute custodians may also be referred to as custodial workers or maintenance workers. Working in a school district is rewarding. We would love for you to join our team.Essential Functions:Remove litter and waste paper from classrooms, offices, and grounds; and deposit in provided receptaclesMaintain carpet and other floor surfacesClean windows, light fixtures, venetian blinds, walks, storage rooms, unity rooms, and restroomsPerform minor maintenance repairs to building and equipmentReport any needed repairs and malfunctions to maintenance for correctionPerform other related duties as requested or assignedAttend any professional development activities as neededMinimum requirements:At least 18 years of age or olderValid FingerprintsPERS Retirees AllowedAbility to understand and carry out instructionsWilling to learn and accept responsibilityPrevious experience preferredHeavy lifting 50-75 lbs
