Substitute TeacherEssential FunctionsReports during an absence for a specified position.Follows professional practices consistent with school and system policiesCleans and patrols assigned facilities and/or grounds (ex: classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.Replenishes and maintains supplies and equipment (ex: cleaning solutions, paper products, soap, vacuums, mops, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities required to properly clean and maintain facilities.Acts in a professional manner.Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.Reports in a timely manner to the specified location.RequirementsValid Georgia professional certification in the assigned teaching field.Additional requirements listed at RequirementsThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Job may require exposure to outside weather conditions.Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 50% walking, and 45% standing.Education/TrainingMust be at least 18 years of age; minimum of a high school diploma or GED.ClearancesCriminal Background CheckFLSA StatusExempt or Non-Exempt (depends on type of substitute position)Salary Information
