Job description
Substitute CustodianThis assignment performs the full range of basic tasks in the cleaning and maintenance of District buildings. Substitute custodians will be placed on an on-call list. When substitute custodians are called, they will be told which building to report to, who to report to, and what time to report.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesA. Education and Experience:High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience as a school custodian or equivalent custodial service preferredB. Credentials:Certificate of good health by a licensed physicianPhysically able to lift a minimum of 50 poundsC. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Willingness to cooperate in a positive and friendly manner with staff, students, and members of the publicProven ability to communicate with members of the leadership teamEssential Functions:Provide students and staff with a safe, clean and attractive environmentGeneral cleaning of assigned areas of responsibilityCleaning of other assigned areasOther duties may be assignedThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee assigned to this position.
