Job description
Substitute Bus/Lunch/Recess MonitorMonitors report directly to the building principal and are responsible for supporting the daily supervision and safety of students in the cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas.
Compensation:
$17.00 per hour.Job Responsibilities:Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, and lunch periodsAssist with supervision during recess on the playground or other designated areasWork in both outdoor environments and standard school settingsEnsure established rules are followed and report concerns to appropriate personnelSupport orderly arrival and dismissal proceduresAssist students during lunch, including food distribution, purchases, disposal, and handwashingMaintain cleanliness of tables and surrounding areasPerform other related duties as assignedAdhere to the West Irondequoit Central School District Code of ConductPreferred Qualifications:Effective verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to understand and follow policies and proceduresAbility to maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies and applicable lawsHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to meet the physical demands of the positionEqual Employment Opportunity Statement: West Irondequoit Central School District complies with the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Part 86).
