We believe in dignity, respect, and inclusion for all.As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives. You'll help foster independence, build life skills, and create a safe, supportive environment where each person can thrive.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care and support to individuals in home and community settingsAssist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication administrationSupport individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in community activitiesMaintain accurate documentation and reportsPromote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environmentCommunicate effectively with team members, families and supervisorsRequired Values & AbilitiesDemonstrate an ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English.Minimal proficiency in mathematicsBe compassionate, patient, and dependableFunctions as a team player, who always has the best interest of the individuals as a priorityMinimum RequirementsA high school diploma, GED, or 1 years' previous experience working with intellectually disabled adults in a Residential setting.A valid driver's license with a good driving record.Ability to pass background and reference checks.Ability Beyond Barriers is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Employer.
