Substitute Paraprofessional
Location: NLC (James Madison) and BTI (Northgate Plaza)
Schedule: Varied
Classification: Substitute
Salary: $16.15 per hour
Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits
POSITION SUMMARY: The substitute paraprofessional will provide support and supervision to students and assist the teacher with day-to-day functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students with learning activities under the direction of the classroom teacher
Provide individualized or small group support to students
Maintain a positive learning environment
Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch and recess
Assist in managing classroom behavior
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Strong communication skills
Ability to form positive relationships with students
Positive attitude focused on student growth and development
Must be able to pass a background check
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
