Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher – Preschool
Tonawanda, NY | Full-Time | $23.87/hour Monday–Friday | 8:15 AM–2:45 PM
Looking for an opportunity to grow your teaching experience while making a difference? Join our Preschool Education team as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher.
You’ll lead classroom instruction, support individualized student goals, and work alongside a team dedicated to helping children learn, grow, and succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver individualized classroom instruction
Support students’ educational and behavioral goals
Implement and monitor Individualized Educational Program objectives
Work closely with families and other education professionals
Provide direction and support to Teacher Assistants and Aides
Create a positive, supportive learning environment
Do You Qualify?
You must meet ONE of the following:
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field
OR
Option 2: Current New York State Teaching Assistant Certification
AND you are currently:
Working toward NYS Special Education Teacher Certification, or
Enrolled in an accredited Teacher Certification Program Candidates should also be comfortable working with and supporting children with developmental disabilities.
