Utility Field TechnicianClary & Associates Professional Surveyors & Mappers are recognized as NE Florida's leader in the surveying industry and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). The SUE process combines civil engineering, surveying, and geophysics. We have utilized cutting-edge technology to provide timely and professional service to our clients for the past 43 years. Clary and Associates provides a professional work environment and embraces the latest technology.Work hours are 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday work.As a Utility Field Technician, you will be responsible for identifying utility pathways, cables, pipes, and other conduits that carry utilities underground. The field tech's primary goal is to locate projected utilities using a variety of techniques, excavation, and physical digging in a variety of land conditions.Benefits include:Paid sick daysPaid personal daysPaid holidaysPaid vacationMedical and military leaveParental leaveCompany paid premiums for medical, short-term disability, and life insurance (dental, vision, HSA, and Aflac plans available)401(k) programOvertimePaid jury/witness dutyReferral programRequirements include:Able to perform physical labor (i.e. lift, squat, bend, scoop, dig trenches, standing for extended periods of time)Pass a background check and drug screenAssists SUE Crew Chief in underground utility location performing designating and excavating tasksLoad, unload, and maintain SUE equipment dailySafely excavate to expose subsurface utilities using hand tools and vacuum excavation technologiesProvide accurate measurements for utilities in project limitsRead and interpret utility records, as built and survey drawings, and highway design plansOrganize field work, while accurately and efficiently collecting field data, locating features, and deliver data to the office, while maintaining accurate records of work and expensesAssists in providing Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) set up, as well as all related safety and other field tasksMark utilities with flags and/or paintNo experience necessary, but we will train you in the skills you need for your position.
