Job description

We are seeking motivated Digital Marketing Portfolio Intern, Product and Commercialization with a passion for building digital products, commercializing new capabilities, and applying AI and data to customer-facing work. The ideal candidate brings academic knowledge and practical experience across product management, business, digital design, and data, with curiosity about how emerging technology changes the way products are built and taken to market.

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis

Curiosity about AI tools, with judgment about where they add value and where they do not

Familiarity with product discovery methods such as user research, journey mapping, or design thinking

Comfort interpreting product, web, or campaign performance data to support a recommendation

Interest in how digital capabilities are positioned, priced, or brought to market

Exposure to agile ways of working, including sprints, backlogs, and cross-functional teams

Strong organizational and time management skills

Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-changing and dynamic environment

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana

Marketing, consulting, product management, or strategy experience

Ideally, plans to graduate within 12 months of completing the internship and available for full-time entry level employment.

Immigration sponsorship is not available for the permanent position(s) that could be offered to successful interns who are hired into the Foundations Program as full-time entry level positions but could be available to those graduating with Master's Degrees and eligible for full-time positions.

Essential Functions

Interns will learn how digital products are defined, built, launched, and commercialized at enterprise scale

Contribute to a live product or commercialization workstream alongside product managers, designers, engineers, and business partners

Use data and customer insight to shape a recommendation on a real business problem

Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience

Participates in various networking and/or community service events

Perform other duties as assigned

Locations details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Degree: Currently enrolled in aBachelor's degree program such as Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, User Experience & Interaction Design, Master of Design, Anthropology, Design Methods, Creative Design, Human Computer Interaction, Advertising, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Product Management, Sports Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Communications or other related major.

Minimum experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship or co-op experience.
