Internship Overview
Fifth Third Bank’s project-based Corporate Client Coverage (Corporate Finance) Summer Internship Program provides college students the opportunity to participate in a hands‑on program supporting the Charlotte office. This 11‑week paid internship gives students exposure to a wide range of financial and banking functions, allowing them to develop the skills and knowledge required to assume a permanent role within a commercial banking institution.
Key Responsibilities
Build and understand complex financial models.
Perform complex financial analysis with minimal oversight.
Create high‑impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant tools to support the team.
Work well as part of a team and develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Credit, Capital Markets and the rest of the organization.
Manage priorities while working on a number of high‑priority opportunities simultaneously.
Complete basic credit and corporate finance overview and analysis independently.
Serve as support to the Managing Directors and be capable of making internal and external software programs.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a strong financial or business background.
Graduation date between December2027–May2028 (inclusive).
Minimum 3.3 GPA required.
Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
Strong analytical skills and an interest in financial analysis, corporate finance and financial markets.
Good working knowledge of financial modeling and valuation.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to draw conclusions based on financial data.
Strong presentation and organization skills.
Process orientation and attention to detail.
Location & Working Hours
Job Location: Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary that is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the US. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location.
