Sales Engineer InternAs a global leader in digital infrastructure, QTS designs, builds and operates advanced data centers that support strategic AI, cloud and digital transformation initiatives. Every single day, the creativity, dedication and genuine care for our communities are what push us forward and make this a truly special place to be.QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.The Sales Engineer Intern will be fully immersed in QTS' sales life-cycle while becoming a SME about our solutions we offer our co-location customers. Responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:Perform research on prospective clients/customersAssist with preparing solution/ proof of concept materialsParticipate in customer/client meetings to learn about how to approach technical solutionsBecome a SME on QTS' portfolio of solutionsDevelop account management/project management frameworksBasic qualifications:Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, Human Resources, or a related field.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Must be a US CitizenPreferred qualifications:Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS's partner institutions or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:Auburn UniversityKansas State UniversityGeorgia State UniversitySouthern Adventist UniversityTexas A&M UniversityUniversity of KansasPrevious internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Virginia. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Virginia only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Virginia with compensation that aligns with your location.
