Summer Textbook ProcessorFacilitate the efficient operation of an administrative department office and warehouse, utilizing our textbook inventory software to accurately add, edit, and adjust district-wide instructional materials based on campus needs.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred, or applicable experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageFamiliar with Frontline Instructional Materials Management System or similar inventory control programsGreat attention to detailAbility to focus on the task at hand and work through interruptionsDemonstrate a focused, hardworking attitude and commitment in the workplaceKnowledge of proper procedures for lifting and handling heavy materials and of safety standardsEffective organizational and time management skillsAbility to read, understand, and follow work orders, verbal, and written instructionsAbility to work with minimal supervisionOne year work experience in similar job preferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Enter all data on new materials as received into the computer system as needed for initial submission through the appropriate inventory processing system.Accurately control the designated amounts of materials needed for each campus, and properly input information into the inventory processing system.Create requisitions and pick tickets for all campus distribution in the inventory processing system.Make adjustments and corrections in the inventory processing system, as needed.Receive current textbook adoptions from state; inventory and barcode for delivery to campuses.Serve as helper on supply truck and unload merchandise into the warehouse.Pick and fill orders from stockRestock shelves as new merchandise is receivedDistribute textbooks and all instructional material to schools.Inventory textbooks.Package books to ensure products will not be separated in transitBox books in a secure way to prevent damageKeep work area in safe working order, clean, and free of litter.Perform general cleaning and maintenance of warehouse, vehicles, and equipment.Pick up old instructional materials and remove from campuses.Discard out of adoption materials from warehouse and campuses, following procedure.Other duties as assignedEquipment Used:Chromebook/ComputerDistrict vehiclesUse pallet jacks, dollies, ladders, scaffolding, and other similar warehouse equipmentWorking Conditions:Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stressPhysical Demands: Lifts 50-75 pounds frequently, 75-100 pounds occasionally, more than 100 pounds infrequently. Climbs ladders, works in high places, works in cramped quarters, works in inclement weather and location (hot, cold, dry, and damp).
