Job description
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent Lead to oversee field operations and provide strong leadership throughout the construction process. This position will play a key role in coordinating teams, maintaining project schedules, managing site activities, and ensuring work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily field operations from project mobilization through completion.
Provide direction and leadership to Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Coordinate construction schedules and ensure critical activities remain on track.
Work closely with project managers and leadership to establish priorities and address project needs.
Review construction documents, schedules, and specifications to ensure proper execution in the field.
Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, workmanship, and adherence to project requirements.
Identify potential schedule, quality, and coordination issues and develop effective solutions.
Conduct regular job-site meetings, inspections, and coordination sessions.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, meeting notes, and safety records.
Ensure compliance with building codes, project requirements, company standards, and safety regulations.
Support project closeout activities, inspections, punch lists, and final completion.
Serve as a key point of contact between field operations, project management, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of construction supervision experience, preferably in commercial construction.
Previous experience leading Superintendents, subcontractors, and multi-trade construction teams.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong ability to identify risks and resolve construction issues efficiently.
Experience with construction management software and scheduling tools.
OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
