Job Description Job Description About the Role: American Energy Services is looking for a driven and experienced Superintendent to join our growing team in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day field operations and manage project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, crews, and on-site personnel across active job sites
Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams and project management
Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to anticipate and resolve potential issues
Track and report project progress, manpower, and material needs to senior leadership
Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times
Involves significant client interaction, the applicant's personality and demeanor are critical.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar construction/energy field leadership role
Maryland Licensed Electrical Journeyman
Proven experience managing multi-trade crews and subcontractors on large-scale projects
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA compliance
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Experience in the energy, utilities, or mechanical contracting sector preferred
Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
Standing and walking for extended periods
Climbing ladders and stairs
Working from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, rooftops, and elevated work platforms
Frequently bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching overhead
Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Operating power tools and hand tools safely
Driving company trucks
Safely towing and maneuvering company trailers
Occasional overnight travel when required
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
Experience : Maryland Electrical Journeyman License (Required)
OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
Minimum five (5) years of commercial electrical construction experience.
Minimum three (3) years supervising electrical crews.
Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and mobile technology.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass background screening and drug testing (where applicable).
