We hire ambitious and dedicated professionals to fill positions at all levels of our organization.Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for a Superintendent to work on various projects in the DC/MD/VA areaQualifications:5+ years of experience with a large scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experienceIn depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment and manpowerAbility to lead field operations with effective decision making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesUnderstanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and maintenanceIn-depth understanding of local, state and federal construction regulationsHigh School diploma or equivalentMust pass pre-employment physical/drug screeningResponsibilities :Schedule, supervise and monitor construction to meet or exceed the project schedule and budgetEncourages and/or participates in staff training and developmentCollaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timelineDevelop a project schedule, sequence of work, and monitory daily productivityHave a working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase ordersSupervise field work force to assure safety, production and budget requirements are metCoordinate materials and equipment delivery to ensure long-lead and critical-path items are on-siteMaintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessaryAssure punch list is completed in a timely mannerBenefits : Competitive salary, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with Company Match and Company Contribution, and PTO (Vacation, Sick, and Holidays).Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.For this role the base salary range is $85,000-150,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
