Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience overseeing construction activities and coordinating field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily construction activities and coordinate work across the job site.

Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed according to project plans and specifications.

Monitor project progress, workmanship, materials, and overall site conditions.

Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain smooth project execution.

Review plans and specifications and identify potential issues before they affect the project schedule.

Maintain daily logs, site reports, progress documentation, and other required project records.

Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety requirements.

Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the job site.

Assist in resolving field issues, scheduling conflicts, and construction-related challenges.

Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and ensure work meets project standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent construction experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field.

Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, plans, and specifications.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Familiarity with construction management software and digital project documentation.

OSHA certification or relevant safety training is preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
