Position Overview
A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale ground-up K-12 projects across Orlando and Central Florida.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily field operations for large-scale ground up projects.
* Manage subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
* Maintain project schedules, two‑week look‑aheads, and daily reporting.
* Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
* Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality‑control activities.
* Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy.
* Oversee installation of structural steel, PEMB systems, CMU, slab work, MEP trades, and interior build‑outs.
* Conduct site walks with owners, architects, and project managers.
* Resolve field issues quickly to maintain workflow and prevent delays.
* Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects.
* Experience with large-scale construction projects preferred.
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
* Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
* Proficiency with daily logs, scheduling tools, and project documentation.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel
