Job description
Oversee critical home infusion pharmacy operations and lead a dedicated team in delivering safe, effective intravenous therapies from a central infusion branch. This direct hire opportunity is based in Westerville, OH, with an immediate start date and offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with some administrative on-call flexibility required.
In this leadership role, you will manage daily pharmacy functions including sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation, ensuring adherence to stringent regulatory standards such as State Board of Pharmacy laws and USP . You will supervise pharmacists and technicians by guiding recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, you will maintain clinical oversight to optimize patient outcomes while driving branch profitability through effective budgeting and workflow strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily infusion pharmacy operations encompassing sterile compounding, dispensing, and inventory control.
Lead and develop pharmacy staff, focusing on training, orientation, and scheduling for optimal team performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to home infusion pharmacy services.
Collaborate with clinical teams to support superior patient care in infusion therapy.
Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance branch success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacist license.
5-7 years of clinical and operational experience in home infusion or acute care pharmacy settings.
Deep understanding of IV admixture services and regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership skills in team management and staff development.
Experience with CPR+/CareTend systems highly preferred.
Prior infusion pharmacy experience strongly preferred; specialty pharmacy experience also considered.
