At UPMC Presbyterian, we're looking for a Central Sterile Processing Supervisor to guide operations, mentor staff, and ensure the highest standards of safety, precision, and patient care.Why You'll Love This Role:Take on a leadership position within a critical support departmentWork overnight hours (Monday–Friday) with rotating weekend call every 4 weeksDrive innovation, safety, and efficiency in surgical support servicesMake a lasting impact through mentorship, collaboration, and quality improvementWhat You'll Do:Lead daily operations of the department, ensuring top-tier cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instrumentsSupervise, mentor, and support a team of skilled technicians, promoting a culture of accountability, growth, and compassionServe as a key resource for clinical teams, solving issues, answering questions, and ensuring service excellencePartner with the manager to maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standardsDrive performance improvement and help spread best practices across the department and hospitalChampion education and development by coordinating internal and external training opportunitiesLead initiatives that promote diversity, team wellness, and a positive work cultureParticipate in staff evaluations, scheduling, and strategic planning for departmental successShare knowledge through presentations, posters, and innovation effortsWhat It Takes:Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage people and processes in a fast-paced, detail-focused environmentCommitment to patient safety, quality, and servicePassion for mentoring, motivating, and making a difference behind the scenesHigh School Graduate or equivalent.3 years experience in central sterile processing required.2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts.
