Description
General Summary:
Under the direct supervision and guidance of Director, Crisis Services, the Supervisor, Crisis Services accomplishes program(s) objectives by supervising staff, overseeing the delivery of Crisis program functions, organizing, and monitoring work processes and functioning as a member of the Clinical Supervisor Team.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for day-to-day supervision, counseling, and discipline of direct staff according to procedure.
2.Educates and empowers staff to be adept at meeting current and future organizational needs, and adjusts schedule staff hours of work, priorities, and assignments.
3.Through individual and group supervision, directs, supervises, trains, evaluates competencies and addresses performance issues consistently, promptly, and appropriately.
4.Plans and facilitates meetings to communicate organization initiatives and updates to staff.
5.Assists in the development and monitoring of department/program budget(s).
6.Monitors and manage staff schedules to ensure that staff time is being utilized effectively and appropriately.
7.Collaborates with Leadership Team on addressing issues of compliance and ethics.
8.Monitors credentialing, privileging, and licenses to ensure staff are up to date and working within their scope.
9.Ensures obligations regarding the specifications of the program, productivity, and frequency of patient contact are met consistently.
10.Develops and leads staff training programs and exercises to maintain a culture of learning and clinical excellence.
Requirements
Required Education/ Certification/ Licensure
Master’s degree in social work , Counseling, Family & Marriage Therapy or Doctorate in Psychology. Appropriate full licensure with the State of Michigan.
Preferred Education/ Certification/ Licensure
Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
CIT Train the Trainer Certification.
Board certified in respective field of counseling through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), or completion of Clinical Advanced Practice Specialty Credentials identified through National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Certification in Licensing Supervision Training course which includes standards of practice.
Successful completion of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training.
Doctoral Degree in applicable field of study
