Job description
Supervisory PositionThe essential duties and requirements of the position include but are not limited to: Supervisory duties include supervision of up to 20 subordinatesOversee the compounding and material handling operations, including but not limited to, manufacturing of products according to special instruction, inventory control of raw and stock materials used, bin transfers, warehouse locations, changing drums and refilling transfer containers, mixing, filling and sampling of finished goods.Initiate, develop and/or support continuous improvement projects about manufacturing effectiveness, material handling and equipment cleaning.Initiate, develop and support continuous improvement in areas of cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, EFfCI and ISO guidelines and internal metrics related to first time right, on-time shipping and lead timeSupport accurate inventory control of materials ensuring lot numbers, warehouse locations and bins, labeling of drums, stock fragrance and transfer containers are being maintained and effectively used to support Material Management and inventory control initiativesOversee Material Handling duties in conjunction with Receiving and Warehouse Management to support effective material movement and management regarding ingredient locations, stock rotation, and material management in racks and storage roomsFollow approved manufacturing protocol, record keeping and methods of operation, including but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures, site regulations, departmental rules, and required regulatory procedures, log books and other supporting data as needed per internal auditing guidelinesMaintain UltiPro time management database for fragrance production employees, scheduling, approving and verifying time sheets weeklyReview and maintain open order report, production logs, attend morning production meetings to verify on time production and shipment needs are being metCommunicate with planning and other departments to ensure stock levels are maintained and planned appropriatelyAny other duties as assigned by managerSalary Range: $65-$85,000 annuallyWork within and responsible for proper cGMP, safety, allergen, Halal, kosher, SSOP, SQF, EFfCI and ISO 9001:2015 guidelines.Education, Training and/or Work Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GED, requiredCollege Education preferredForklift certification requiredYellow Belt - Six Sigma Lean Training, preferredWorking knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and OSHA safety regulationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Ability to read and write English is requiredKnowledge of metric system and conversions is requiredAbility to understand safety labels, manufacturing instructions, safety date sheets, scale readouts, correspondence, labels, code numbersAbility to follow verbal instructionMathematical ability needed (add, subtract, multiply, divide, conversion from metric to English units for volume and weight)Reasoning ability - apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to solve problemsPeriods of standing, walking, reaching, bending are requiredAbility to lift up to 50 poundsCompetencies:Technical CapacityEthical ConductCommunication ProficiencyResults DrivenInitiativeContinuous Improvement FocusWorking knowledge of EFfCI, ISO 9001:2015 and SQF.Training will be provided for carrying out the tasks essential to the implementation and effective operation of theEqual Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
