Supervisor Of Housekeeping TeamJoin the YMCA team as the Supervisor of our Housekeeping Team at the Cleveland Family Y location. As a highly skilled and motivated individual, you will lead the housekeeping department, ensuring the building is clean, sanitized, and secure.The typical shifts for this position are Monday-Friday from 8:30-5 (with a lunch), with the need to occasionally fill in other shifts as needed.RESPONSIBILITES:Creates daily and weekly schedules for housekeeping dutiesMaintains upkeep of assigned areas and equipmentOperates motorized and non-motorized equipmentRecords and reports needed repairsEnsures building security and reports incidentsManages inventory and orders necessary suppliesSupervises housekeeping department members, including schedulingOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:1+ year of related experience preferredPrior supervisory experience preferredAbility to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents requiredKnowledge of cleaning methods and equipment requiredBasic understanding of cleaning methods and equipmentUnderstanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, effective usePHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties & responsibilitiesAbility to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms.Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.Ability to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but not limited to the following activities: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back.
