What you get to do:
You'll supervise inventory control for all park merchandise locations — owning stock accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, building the processes that keep product on the floor, and partnering closely with the warehouse, purchasing, and location teams to keep inventory moving. You will also:
Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, including merchandise product location transfers, adjustments, write-offs, and correction of system-to-physical discrepancies through cycle counts
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for stock flow, replenishment, and transfers
Track order fulfillment from purchase order through delivery to location; monitor open orders, fill rates, and expected arrival dates, and escalate shorts, delays, and vendor discrepancies to operations team, Product Activation Manager and purchasing teams
Research, document, and resolve inventory variances; identify root causes and implement corrective process changes
Establish and maintain min/max levels by location and SKU; adjust based on sales velocity, seasonality, event calendars, and lead times
Coordinating with operations and visual merchandising team to execute retail price changes and sale markdowns
Build and manage the cycle count program; participate as a leader in the annual physical inventory for assigned locations, including preparation, count execution, reconciliation, and reporting
Process damaged, defective, and shrink-related merchandise per company policy and maintain supporting documentation
Monitor location stockrooms for organization, accurate labeling, and proper stock rotation
Provide inventory support for promotional layouts, merchandise events, and new product launches
Supervise, assign tasks, and develop direct reports through training, feedback, and coaching; write and deliver performance appraisals
Schedule ambassadors and manage timecards in Kronos
Manage mail order inquires and merchandise guest services inbox
Perform department duty responsibilities as assigned
Occasionally assist other locations and areas throughout the park as needed; other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
At least 18 years old
A valid state driver's license; visiting students and military are required to have a valid driver's license from their state of residency, provide a copy of the DMV report, complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class, and obtain a SWC driver's license
High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum two years of related experience in inventory control, merchandise planning, retail stockroom management, or supply chain; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one year experience in a leadership role, managing a team, scheduling, training strongly preferred
Working knowledge of an ERP or inventory management system; SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering large data sets
Excellent math skills to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret graphs
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactional work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to speak effectively before groups
Able to document processes clearly and train others to follow them
Able to build working relationships across departments and coordinate work with teams outside of direct reporting lines
Full-time availability, minimum five days per week
Able to regularly use hands and fingers
Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Able to positively interact with park guests and coworkers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs
Ability to self-motivate as well as motivate ambassadors
Basic knowledge of financial terms for a revenue department
Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to work independently and troubleshoot issues
Theme park, resort, or high-volume seasonal retail experience preferred
