TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:Level II Trauma CenterPrimary Stroke CenterLevel III Neonatal Intensive CarePediatric Intensive CareThe most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle.Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices.HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTManage inventory level of OR supplies; assure proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment; responsible for efficient and effective management of the resources and personnel in the sterile processing department.Reports:RN/Nurse ManagerSupervises:Sterile Supply Tech I and IIWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLYRequired Education:Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Vocational/Technical School DegreeRequired Experience:Minimum: 1 year sterile processing experienceRequired Certification/License/Registry:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) (formerly the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM)) or the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board For Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) within one (1) year post-hirePreferred Qualifications. Completion of a sterile processing course and/or a vocational/technical school diploma/degree in surgical technology. More than one (1) year of sterile processing experience.
