Job description
This role involves providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management, ensuring high-quality, safe, and personalized care in accordance with regional standards and hospital policies.
Responsibilities Include
Conducting medical histories, physical exams, and reviewing diagnostic results.
Formulating and managing treatment plans, including performing advanced procedures such as line placements, thoracentesis, and intubations.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, updating clinical protocols, and participating in research and education initiatives.
Educating patients and families, promoting process improvements, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Supporting professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and mentoring less experienced staff.
Qualifications And Skills Required
Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program, with a preference for master's level education.
Current Texas nursing license and national certification in the relevant specialty.
Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or equivalent; trauma practice certification within six months if applicable.
At least two years of clinical nursing experience in the relevant area.
