Overview

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations at US Liner LLC, a manufacturing and distribution network, both domestically and internationally. This senior leader will be responsible for driving supply chain excellence—from procurement and planning to logistics and inventory management—ensuring service reliability, cost competitiveness, and operational agility.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership Develop and execute an end-to-end supply chain strategy that supports manufacturing excellence, rapid time-to-market, and cost competitiveness.

Ensure optimal performance across procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions.

Implement best-in-class KPIs for responsiveness, quality, and operational efficiency tailored to component-heavy, high-tech environments.

Cross-Functional & Site Support Partner with operations, engineering, finance, quality, and sales to align supply chain processes with manufacturing and business goals.

Support site-level teams with forecasting, material availability, and capacity planning for new product introductions and operational shifts.

Synchronize supply chain planning across all facilities to reduce variability and improve service levels.

Manufacturing & Engineering Alignment Collaborate closely with operations, product development, engineering, and quality teams to ensure alignment between supply chain capabilities and production requirements.

Support new product introductions (NPIs) with agile sourcing strategies and proactive material readiness plans.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce lead times, improve yield, and enhance scalability.

Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.

Drive dual/multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate risks associated with single-source or offshore suppliers.

Implement structured supplier scorecards and corrective action systems to ensure compliance with technical specs, delivery commitments, and reliability targets.

Oversee domestic and international logistics, including import/export, customs clearance, and compliance with trade regulations.

Optimize cost, shipping lanes, freight contracts, and warehousing strategies for both just-in-time and buffer-stock models while ensuring high customer service levels.

Inventory & Demand Planning Lead S&OP processes and demand planning efforts to balance inventory levels with customer needs.

Drive inventory accuracy and working capital optimization across the network.

Implement data-driven planning tools and models to improve forecast accuracy.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Implement talent development and succession planning strategies.

Systems & Process Optimization Standardize and digitize supply chain processes and workflows across all locations.

Leverage ERP, MRP, and advanced analytics tools to improve visibility, planning, and decision-making.

Lead supply chain transformation initiatives, including automation, sustainability, and technology adoption.

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, regulatory issues, and geopolitical challenges.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, industry standards, and legal requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or CLTD are strong assets).

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is required; global supply chain exposure is a plus.

Proven ability to lead and scale complex supply chain operations across regions or facilities.

Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, cost models, and performance metrics.

Expertise in negotiation, supplier management, S&OP, logistics, and ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or equivalent).

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Agile mindset with a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.
