Clinical Staff - Medical Ancillary SupportThe Supply Technician Lead actively participates in the Central Supply workflow and leads/instructs staff in the daily completion of supply restocking duties. The Supply Technician Lead provides relief supervision in the absence of the supervisor.QualificationsHigh School/GED or formal educational equivalent and six months of experience in supply distribution, preferably in a healthcare environment, plus two (2) years of previous experience in stocking supplies and/or supervisory experience required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability.Requires ability to learn through on-the-job training during the probationary period.Must demonstrate proficiency in use of automated supply cabinets during the probationary period.ResponsibilitiesActively participates in recording inventory, filling, and stocking/restocking of supply par areasPractices stock rotation, removal of outdated supplies, and cycle counting of supplies to ensure accuracy of counts.Receives and stocks supplies in Central Supply as assigned and/or as needed.Displays proficiency when using the Pyxis computerized restocking processCompletes par level assignments in time allocated.Provides relief supervision in the absence of the Supervisor.Trains and leads staff in the proper restocking of nursing/surgical supply areas.Maintains supply areas and ensures daily work assignments are given and completed.Trains staff in proper department procedures and documents training with new employees.Staffs the Central Supply dispatch window as assigned.Issues and records supplies that are sent via pickup, delivery, or tube systemGreets visitors quickly and courteously, answers phone inquiries and assists as needed, and issues procedure trays and carts and records the issuance.Performs other duties as assigned.Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to Apply: List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeOptional Documents:Special Instructions to ApplicantsRecruitment Contact Information: Please contact for any recruiting related questions.All application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.Pre-employment Screening RequirementsCriminal Background Check, Substance Abuse TestingThis position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
