The copper processing facilities currently consist of a solvent extraction/electrowinning operation with an annual maximum capacity of approximately 100 million pounds of copper.The community of Silver City boasts various restaurants, arts, entertainment, cliff dwellings, festivals and much more. From unique shopping finds in the galleries to everyday groceries, schools and housing, there are numerous amenities for everyone.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment in support of production including de-watering, materials delivery, maintaining berms, and surface maintenance at a skilled level.Operate heavy equipment which may include but is not limited to: haul trucks, water trucks, rubber tire dozers, track dozers, excavators, motor graders and front-end loadersMay assist with training and mentoring of other equipment operatorsResponsible for understanding changes to assigned work areas and any potential hazardsResponsible for knowing the following procedures: start-up and shut-down, parking, mounting and dismounting, Lock-Out Tag-Out Try-Out (LOTOTO), emergency, fire, working with ground personnel, and Blue StakeMay perform the following duties: road building, managing stockpiles, road surface maintenance, building and maintaining road berms, loading trucks, and trenchingResponsible for understanding equipment components and practices that reduce component damage and wearMay perform operations support activities such as barricading shovels and assisting with power cable movesPerforms pre-shift inspection of equipmentCommunicates through computer dispatching system or two-way radioMay perform minor maintenance activitiesPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsSix (6) months of mobile equipment operating experienceMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.Preferred QualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDCompensation and BenefitsThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
