Support Services AssistantLocation: White plains, NY, 10601Duration: 12+ MonthsPayrate: $25-$30/hr on w2Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7.5-hour workday with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch, paid for time worked only.Project OverviewProvide support services to the mailroom and maintenance departments of the company headquarters.Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the mailroom Support Services LeadReceive, sort and distribute internal and external mailManage outbound mail and packages requestsOperate various pieces of mailroom equipment or machinesProvide backup and cross-functional work for members of the mailroom teamProvide messenger services by making hand deliveries and pick-ups for executives or external parties, including Post Office, Bank Deposits and Bill Deliveries.Provide support to the building maintenance SupervisorAssist with management of stored materials including furnitureSupport internal relocation of staff membersAssist in the setup and breakdown of event furniture and equipmentSupport emergent workSkillsAbility to take direction and collaborate with other team membersAbility to deliver a high level of Customer Service within desired schedulesGood communication skillsGeneral knowledge of mailroom operations and equipment/machinesKnowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to learn the use of new softwareEducation & CertificationsHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentTwo years of experience in Support Services - mailroom or maintenanceExperience with Customer ServicePhysical Requirements - Ability to lift 30 lbs.
