n nThe Supervisor Respiratory Care is proficient in all aspects of Respiratory Care and possesses the ability to utilize effective management skills.
nResponsibilities Include:
nnnSupports the Respiratory Care Manager in a supervisory capacity, managing team member and patient care issues as well as physician concerns.
n
nnAssists the manager with hiring, performance review, coaching, counseling and termination. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, team member competency and policy review.
n
nnEnsures regulatory requirements are met and establishes goals for process improvement.
n
nnActs as a role model for others
n
nnReports to a Manager over multiple departments or multiple campuses. Has greater than 10 direct reports.
n
nnPerforms other duties as assigned.
n
n nCertifications and Licensures Required:
nnnRRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
n
nnActive NBRC Credential for RRT
n
nnCPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
n
nnNRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
n
nnACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
n
nnPALS (Pediatric) - Preferred
n
n nEducation Required:
nnnTechnical Respiratory Therapy
n
nnAssociate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred
n
n nExperience Required:
nnAcute Care / Respiratory
n nSpecific Skills Required:
nnnNICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.
