Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery
Job Details:
Full-time position working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
Shift hours from 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM start to 4:30 PM end
Call rotation of 1 in 4 weekends: Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM; rounding only (no elective cases), typically 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
If part-time, minimum of 2 weeks per month required
Estimated 20 patients seen per shift depending on volume
Procedures and case types include endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), surgical closure, and vascular cases
5-6 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
Demonstrated proficiency in vein harvesting techniques and surgical closure required
Availability to cover nights and weekends on a rotational basis to ensure continuous coverage
Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, active PA license, DEA, and Board Certified Physician Assistant
Support staff includes 2 MDs and 3 APPs in CT Surgery, as well as 2 MDs and 3 APPs in Vascular Surgery
