PRN Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location: Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY
Setting: Inpatient / OR
️ FTE: PRN
EMR: Epic
Summary:
Seeking a certified PA with strong CT surgery experience . Must be proficient first assisting and comfortable with OR, telemetry, and ICU duties .
️ Schedule / Call:
24 hr call: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
Call: 1 2 days/week & 1 weekend/monthWeekend: Friday 7 AM Monday 7 AM
Includes inpatient rounds, procedures, surgery coverage
Ongoing PRN & PTO/vacation coverage
Coverage Dates:
May 31 June 13, 2026
June 6 8, 2026 (CRITICAL)
July , 2026
Ongoing long term needs
Required Skills / Procedures:
CABG
️ AVR / MVR
Thoracotomy & lung resections
Vein harvesting
Chest tube placement
Support:
No APP support required; direct surgeon support
