Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic PA to join our thriving program in beautiful Northern CA!
6+ Month Locum Contract! Full Time! Full Continuum of Care position with OR, ICU and Clinic. Will consider perm and locum candidates!
The position is very autonomous and performing at a high level of acuity and responsibility.
OR assisting for both Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery cases including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting using the MAquet VasoView Hemepro 2 system.
Performance of bedside procedures including thoracentesis, chest tube placement, arterial lines and central venous access
Daily duties to be split 50/50 with current PA. Working as a team the candidate will alternate daily between the OR and non-surgical duties.
Currently 2 surgeons and 1 PA doing 100+ hearts a year plus about the same number of thoracic cases annually.
Endoscopic Vein Harvesting: 1 year (Required)
Cardiac Surgery First Assist: 1 year (Required)
Weekend and evening call coverage (Required)
Office-based pre-op H&P and post-op recovery of both Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery patients including, OR and CVICU
Experience:
Provider must be proficient in Cardiac Surgery First Assisting in OR cases and proficient in EVH. California licensed or eligible and meet the hospital's medical staff credentialing standards.
