Locums - Ogden, Utah Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role
Provide Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery call coverage for a Level II Trauma Center. The physician must be comfortable independently managing both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.
Assignment Details
Coverage Dates:
September 18-25, 2026December 28, 2026-January 3, 2027 Schedule:
24-hour call coverageCall coverage onlyNo clinic responsibilitiesApproximately 10-12 patients per week3-5 consults per 7-day periodApproximately 1-3 surgeries per week Clinical Responsibilities
Cardiovascular and thoracic surgeryCardiac and thoracic callIndependent surgical casesInpatient rounding when APP support is unavailablePractice performs approximately 80 cardiac cases annually Support & Practice Setting
Level II Trauma CenterAPP support Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM when availableDedicated vein harvest teamRN, MA, and additional practice supportMeditech EMR Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible - RequiredCardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery experience - RequiredActive Utah license in hand at presentation - RequiredActive Utah DEA in hand at presentation - Required About Ogden, Utah
