Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
Cardiac Surgery APP coverage position supporting urgent surgical cases including cath lab to surgery transitions
Schedule runs Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM on a 24-hour call basis
Coverage needed for 3 weekends per month
Average callback including rounding is approximately 4 hours per day
Patient population includes adults ages 18 and older
Perform vein harvesting and support urgent surgical procedures
Patients transition from ICU to home; stable patients may wait until Monday for procedures
Surgeon available for backup following consult
EMR system used is EPIC
Minimum of 3 years of experience required
Active PA license required; DEA required
Acute care certificate is NOT required
