Job description
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a growing General Surgery team in Lewiston, Maine, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative surgical practice serving a large regional population.
Position Highlights: Full-time employed opportunity
Join an established and expanding surgical services team
Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
Evaluate, assess, and manage surgical patients across the continuum of care
Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and ongoing clinical assessments
Assist with treatment planning, follow-up care, and patient education
Order and interpret diagnostic testing within scope of practice
Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
Support patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital environment
Daytime schedule promoting work-life balance
Qualifications: MSN with specialization as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
Current or eligible Nurse Practitioner licensure in Maine
BLS certification required
Two years of Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, or a related clinical setting required
Experience with electronic health record systems preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills
