The facility holds a Level III Trauma designation and supports Advanced Practice Providers through a dedicated Office of Advanced Practice, state-of-the-art EPIC technology, and robust mentorship and orientation programs designed to set providers up for success.

Advanced Practitioners - Surgery
Job Details:
Join a General Surgery team covering a wide variety of subspecialties including Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, and Plastic Surgery
Role open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
Inpatient setting with responsibilities including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults
Work in collaboration with several surgeons across multiple surgical subspecialties
Full-time position with a rotating schedule (3x13 shifts)
No call required
Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and other care team members
Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols
Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License
Minimum of 1+ years of experience, preferably in a surgical or related setting, required
