Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Neurovascular in Richmond, VA Join a dynamic team at a renowned inpatient hospital in Richmond, Virginia, where you will play a vital role in neurointerventional surgery. This locum Nurse Practitioner position offers coverage for 3 12-hour shifts per week and is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make an impact in patient care.
Job Responsibilities: Provide quality post-procedure inpatient care for neurointerventional surgery patients.
Participate in code stroke response protocols.
Work with a varied patient population, focusing primarily on adults and geriatrics.
Utilize EPIC for documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Availability for night shifts as required, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a rotations.
Qualifications: Board Certified (AANP) - Required
Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license - Preferred
Current certifications in ACLS and BLS - Required
Experience in neurocritical care nursing - Required
Clean background with no malpractice or license issues - Required
Documentation of previous assignments at the facility, if applicable - Required
License and Certification Requirements: Active Virginia RN license (preferred)
Board certification from AANP
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
